Small boats come and go, the water reflects blue skies and water lilies are in full bloom. People of Bangladesh enjoy this season of rain and flood as they have been with it since ancient times. And May to August is good for juicy fruits such as litchi, jackfruit and mango, etc.

It covers an area of 144036 sq. km having a total population of 157.3 million. Though it is a small Country, it has much diverse attractions for the nature lovers as well as is rich in culture and heritage.
History
The history of Bangladesh is fragmentary in nature due mainly to lack of records and adequate research. The earliest mention of Bangladesh is found in the Hindu epic, the Mohabarata. Evidence also suggests that there was a strong Mongoloid presence as well. Soon after, in the 5 th and 6 th centuries B.C, came the Aryans and the Dravidians. Then came the Murray, Guptas, Palas, Senas who were Buddhist and Hindus.
