M. RAFIQUL ISLAM (NASIM)

Rafiqul Islam is dedicated to bringing optimistic transformations by training the youth, assisting the destitute people, and preserving the natural resources of the society. His remarkable academic portfolio is backed by the completion of bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Dhaka. Also, he has avidly traveled worldwide, attending international travel fairs including ITB Berlin, WTM London, BIT Milan, BITE Beijing, and SATTE Delhi.
CAREER
Since 1996, he has devotedly carried out the responsibilities of the tourism and service industry which motivated him to inaugurate his own tourism agency, the Bengal Tours Limited, in 1999. With the tremendous success of Bengal Tours, he launched another service organization the Bengal Logistics Limited in 2011.
He dynamically contributed to several prominent development agencies including US Forest Service (USFS), USAID, JICA, IUCN, WildTeam, and US Peace Corps. Alongside, he is a guest faculty member of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University (BSMRMU), Bangladesh.
ACADEMIA
He has remarkable excellence in research and analysis services and therefore, put his contribution in more than hundreds of materials focusing on alarming issues of Bangladesh, such as climate change, women’s rights, socio-economic crisis, alternative livelihoods, etc
MEDIA
His benevolent and considerate participation in the tourism logistics industry put him in the opportunity of working with eminent broadcasting companies in many countries across the world like NHK TV, BBC, National Geographic, ABC TV, Pivot TV USA, and so on.
MEMBERSHIP
With decades of experience in both the national and international service industry, M. Rafiqul Islam participated in numerous professional societies namely TOAB, PATA, BBIN for a longer period of time which helped him to spread his philanthropic word in a wider spectrum.
