Md. Masud Hossain, who is the chairperson of NHCT, having profound and sustainable impact on the education sector, nature conservation, clean environment, and empowering people in Bangladesh. Having completed the bachelor’s degree in commerce from Chittagong University, he has had an exemplary academic history. Apart from his professional life, he has a deep passion for traveling the world and observing people from all walks of life living lives in diverse cultures.
Career
In 1991, Masud Hossain started his career as a director in the tourism industry, which later influenced him to launch his own organization in 1999. Since then, he administered more than 35 thousand foreign tourists, researchers, government delegates, media personnel, volunteers, and others for over 30 years. In course of his works as a logistics support provider, he served for many international and local development agencies in different capacities, among those organizations USAID, JICA, JETRO, IUCN, and JBIC are remarkable.
ACADEMIA
He provided research and coordination services for more than 150 documentaries including three world heritage sites, global warming crisis, sea level rising, microcredit, Sunderbans, biodiversity, crafts, music, food and lifestyle, endangered professions, and many more interesting subjects in Bangladesh.
MEDIA
Masud Hossain also has had a dynamic contribution to the media sector for a longer period of time. He worked in close collaboration with Japanese television broadcasting companies like NHK TV and a bunch of others. Apart from this, in Europe, he worked for the renowned BBC, National Geographic, and ABC TV, etc.
LANGUAGE
Apart from fluent English and Bengali, Md. Masud Hossain has special efficiency in the Japanese language for a prolonged length of time. This is because his constant desire to discover new cultures and comprehend their way of living influenced Mr. Masud to complete a two years language course from Japan in 1989.
MEMBERSHIP
Being a vivacious example with more than thirty years of experience in the service industry, Md. Masud Hossain actively took part in several national and international trade associations and bodies. Therefore, he has a membership of TOAB, PATA, JATA, and a few other fellowships having both domestic and global reputations.
